Choosing friends

We often have a notion that dogs are inherently sociable creatures, but every dog is different and has different needs and preferences.

My dog is generally quite sociable, but he doesn’t love every other dog he meets. There are many reasons that your dog might not take to other dogs, and it’s completely normal for dogs to be selective about their friends. Of course, some dogs don’t enjoy the company of other dogs at all, and that’s OK!

We love having regular walks and play dates with the dogs we know Dylan loves. Here he is with beautiful Ellie, who he adores. Quality is always better than quantity when it comes to these kinds of interactions.
