This was the last time I was able to visit Barking Mad Dog Rescue’s shelter in Nisipari, Romania. I had one of the best weeks of my life, made some lifelong friends, and fell in love with so many dogs I lost count.
I have a special place in my heart for shelter dogs. They’re so different to breed dogs in some ways, but in some ways so similar. Very soon I plan to become a fosterer and help some of them find lovely homes here in the U.K.
This is me with Eli, who is now very happily adopted in Scotland. I love this photo and have it framed in my living room. I so hope to see Eli again one day ❤️
