Lots of dogs struggle with certain sounds - this is commonly known as noise sensitivity or noise “phobia.” This can be based on the pitch/volume/frequency of the sound; negative associations with the sound or something else entirely. Some breeds are more susceptible, and dogs with a nervous disposition are more likely to experience sensitivity to noises.
Changing a dog’s conditioned emotional response to noise takes time and patience, but to do this we can use a simple 3-step technique. It really works!
